Custom Gate and Fence

Our customer has a gorgeous older home and needed a custom gate and fence installed to protect her back garden. After going through the design phase, we started this project in mid-December. This has been one of the coolest projects to date, and it came with a wonderful customer whom I truly enjoyed chatting with.

Made entirely from steel, the gate and fence were completely handcrafted. We hand-bent all of the spirals, hand-hammered each diamond spike, and hand-hammered all of the connecting rivets—and there were a lot of rivets! Everything from the hinges to the locking bolts was created by our blacksmith.

We also had a great blacksmith and friend, Aidan Heintzel, help us with the final steps and installation. His blacksmithing skills are astounding, and his speed was incredibly helpful. We could not have finished the project on time without his help.
