Feeling Earthy

Our customer wanted a unique handrail to keep friends and family from accidentally visiting the bushes on their way up to her front porch. She had so many beautiful plants and so much greenery around her home that we decided to go with a plant-based theme.

After much discussion and sketching, the design was finalized and work began. This handrail was hand-twisted, with each individual vine piece twisted, braided, and created by hand, including every leaf on each vine.

From start to finish, this project was exciting and fun. I cannot wait to see how the surrounding plants begin to interact with the railing.
